On 8 February 2026, a training session was organized at the NOWCommunities Office for textile and garments workers belonging to Orangi Town. A total of 22 workers participated in the session.

The training focused on “Challenges Faced by Workers at the Workplace and Civic Issues Faced by Communities in Their Residential Areas.”
The session was conducted by Mr. Muhammad Shafii, Admin and HR Officer of NOWCommunities.

Participants were divided into four groups to identify and share issues related to their workplaces and community areas. Detailed discussions were held on these issues, and participants were provided with awareness and guidance on possible and effective solutions.

To further enhance participants’ understanding, training videos on labour laws by renowned labour leader Mr. Mirza Maqsood Ahmed were also shown during the session.

Participants showed particular interest in issues related to EOBI (Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution) and raised several questions. Comprehensive and satisfactory responses were provided to address their concerns.
