October 20th, 2023 National Organization for Working Communities – NOWCommunities, under its project “Women’s Voice and Leadership – Pakistan (WVL-P)”, is aiming at the institutionalization of the Gender Leadership Program – GLP. In doing so, NOWCommunities is engaging with young women from universities for their capacity strengthening and promotion of women leadership at the community level. On the 20th of October 2023, NOWCommunities conducted its second capacity-strengthening workshop with the students from the Department of Development Studies, NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi. The objective of this workshop was to introduce the students to the concept of effective communication skills and the Johari Window to enhance their leadership skills. During the workshop, Ms Iqra Gulzar (a GLPier from NOWCommunities) and Ms Sadia Baloch (Program Manager, WVL-P, NOWCommunities) engaged with students on the leadership challenges, communication skills, and the Johari Window to help them understand their leadership abilities as well as to share a way to enhance their leadership skills.
